Independent Educational Evaluations

An IEE is requested when parents and a school district disagree about a child’s special education eligibility or services.

For the past 5 years, I have completed IEEs with a focus on clear, actionable, and unbiased evaluations. Reports are written in a reader-friendly format and include:

  • Special education eligibility determination

  • Diagnostic information

  • Recommended services, goals, accommodations, and any necessary modifications to support your child’s educational journey

My goal is to provide evaluations that help families advocate effectively and ensure their child receives the support they need.

Yes! I have extensive training in assessment for learning disorders and love to help pinpoint learning strengths and challenges.

I can! If it helps faciliate communication and understanding of testing results, I am able to attend IEP meetings or meetings with other support professionals for an additional consultation fee.

I always encourage families to start by reaching out to their local school district for an evaluation. However, private evaluations at Insights focus on diagnostic information rather than eligibility for special education services.

This approach allows us to identify your child’s specific learning needs, such as a particular form of dyslexia or attention challenge, rather than limiting the assessment to broad eligibility categories. The result is a more detailed, individualized understanding of your child’s strengths and challenges, along with practical recommendations that can support success both at school and at home.
